The Ocean to Bay Bike Tour presented by the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce is slated to return for its 37th year on Friday, April 24th and Saturday, April 25th. This award-winning cycling tour brings 2,000 riders to the Quiet Resorts area each spring to bike through southern Delaware’s scenic beaches, bays, and beyond. Cyclists have the choice of a 10-, 30-, 50-, 62- (metric century), or 100 (century) mile ride on flat terrain through the Quiet Resorts. Enjoy live music, lite fare, giveaways, multiple rest stops with beautiful vistas, a complimentary long sleeve shirt, and more. Custom jerseys, shirts, and boxed lunches from DiFebo’s Market are also available to add to registrations. Saturday riders may register as an individual or as part of team of 6+ cyclists. Also making a return is the 10-mile Coastal Cruise, a self-paced out-and-back route that may be completed any time on Friday, April 24th, or Saturday, April 25th. Cyclists of all levels can take in the beautiful coastal scenery on this relaxing ride from downtown Bethany Beach to Big Chill Beach Club and back. Proceeds from the Coastal Cruise will benefit Delaware State Parks. Pre-registration is $35 or cyclists can combine the Coastal Cruise with a Saturday ride at a discounted rate.
Proceeds from the Saturday ride will benefit Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company, The Justin W. Jennings Foundation, Contractors for a Cause, and other local first responders. The Ocean to Bay Bike Tour Prize Wheel will be back at the finish line, where cyclists can spin to win prizes offered from local businesses!
