Salisbury, MD — The Lower Shore Land Trust will host its 6th Annual Pollinator Garden Tour on Saturday, June 6, 2026, featuring 10 diverse native gardens throughout Salisbury, many located near Salisbury University. Each garden showcases native plants and pollinator-friendly landscaping designed to support bees, butterflies, birds, and other beneficial pollinators.
The annual tour serves as a fundraiser for the Lower Shore Land Trust while celebrating the beauty, diversity, and environmental benefits of native gardening. Held in a different community each year within the organization’s service region of Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties, the event offers attendees a rare opportunity to explore private gardens and connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts.
Tickets include:
- Opportunities to meet garden owners and exchange gardening tips and inspiration
- A staff-curated garden tour map
- Invitation to the Pre-Tour Reception on June 5
- Access to the Post-Tour Plein Air Art Exhibit & Sale on June 26
Adding to the experience, plein air artists will paint on-site at each garden location, creating original works inspired by the unique native landscapes and unique garden features.
Additionally, Salisbury University will offer free tours of the Glenda Chatham Clarke Arboretum (near the Tour’s Welcome Center), home to more than 3,000 trees and a wide variety of woody and herbaceous plant species across the university’s 200-acre campus. While separate from the Garden Tour, the arboretum complements the event’s focus on horticulture and native landscapes.
