The Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) Delmarva is honored to announce a generous $25,000 grant from The Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment. This investment directly strengthens SoSA’s mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger across Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
Thanks to this support, SoSA Delmarva will provide 1 million servings of fresh, healthy produce to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The funding will expand gleaning efforts, increase produce distribution capacity, and deepen partnerships with local farms and community organizations.
“This gift from The Keith Campbell Foundation empowers us to rescue more fresh food and ensure it reaches the people who need it most,” said Jean SIers, Regional Director “At a time when many households are struggling, this partnership helps us deliver nourishment, dignity, and hope.”
Since Society of St. Andrew Delmarva’s office opened in 2022, they have worked with over 1,000 volunteers and a hundred farms to recover surplus fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. With this new grant, SoSA will scaleits impact across the Delmarva Peninsula, strengthening its role as a leader in sustainable, community driven hunger relief.
