The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) and the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES) continue to celebrate our country’s Semiquincentennial National Initiative with the theme “The Shore Celebrates 250 Years (1776 – 2026)”. We encourage all of our regional business and community members and Delmarva residents to view the fifth and final Year 4 episode of “Education is Everybody’s Business (EIEB)” on PAC-14 and YouTube.  In this exciting and informative episode, we discuss the topic “How Community-based Nonprofits Benefit Education”.

This is an extremely informative 30-minute interview with Ms. Erica Joseph, CEO and President of our Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore (CFES). She provides an insightful discussion of how numerous Lower Shore community-based nonprofits that they support are currently supporting our children, youth, and families in significant ways. From early childhood learning to college and career readiness for life after high school, this episode shows what is currently accessible and available to support education and career-related employment here on the Shore. It’s a “must-see” for everyone, especially our public, private, and faith-based school youth, parents, caretakers, teachers, and invested community residents. ALL are encouraged to see this episode and share!

Please note that viewers of this special episode will additionally learn how they can volunteer time and donate financial support to the CFES and its Shore Gives 365 Community Impact Program.  Contact information is provided, and specific nonprofit organizations and programs are highlighted.

Lastly, a year-closing “Did You Know?” segment features the evolution and growth of the Perdue Farms Corporation from its discovery by Frank Perdue and its current global market reach in 46 countries nurtured by his son Jim Perdue. The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce – Education Committee Network members thank everyone who has taken the time to view and share this year’s informative episodes. Stay tuned for Year 5!
