Adkins Appointed SU AVP for Administration and Finance

SALISBURY, MD – Salisbury University has announced Lynn Adkins as its new associate vice president for administration and finance.

“In her new position, Ms. Adkins brings with her demonstrated financial management experience from a successful public-sector career in financial affairs,” said Dr. Janet Wormack, SU vice president for administration and finance.

“She is a dedicated and well-respected executive with detailed knowledge of financial administration, higher education financial reporting and understanding of the needs of students. She also is a leader recognized by members of the campus community.”

“I am excited to join the administration and finance team at SU,” said Adkins. “My accounting, finance and higher education experience, along with a strong personal admiration for the success of my Alma Mater, will benefit me tremendously as I move into this role.”

Adkins has served with the SU Foundation, Inc., since 2007, starting as an accountant and becoming director of operations and finance in 2017. Prior to that, she worked at Piedmont Airlines from 1987-2007, serving at various times as revenue accounting clerk, accounting manager, budget manager and director of finance.

As associate vice president for administration and finance, her duties will include management and oversight of SU financial reporting, payroll, accounting and budgeting operations.

Adkins earned her B.S. in accounting from SU (’97). Her new position begins Wednesday, September 22.
