As new members American Legion Post 64 invited the Chamber to celebrate with them on September 11, 2014. It was the perfect day to join with them in remembrance. We were joined by representatives from the offices of: Congressman Harris, Senator Mathias, Comptroller Franchot, Delegate Eckhart, Wicomico County and the City of Salisbury as well as Chamber members and honored veterans. The post invited us to join them for lunch (they are now open Thursday and Friday for lunch!) and to see their facility that is available to rent for outside events. They highlight was when World War II veteran and post member for 61 years, Eddie Meyers cut the ribbon for the celebration! Interested in knowing more about what the Legion does or how you can become involved? Be sure to contact them and get involved.
