December 13, 2019 – Salisbury, Md. – The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore recently announced that Ed Barber, Dean Lewis, and David Mitchell have joined the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Ed Barber retired in 2011 as Assistant Superintendent for Administration of Worcester County Public Schools. He has 37 years of experience in education, starting as a school psychologist and then school principal and supervisor in Somerset County. Ed resides in Snow Hill with his wife Diana and has one son.
Dean Lewis is the Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of Calvin B. Taylor Bank. Dean is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a master’s degree in taxation. Dean currently serves on the board of directors for Taylor Bank and the Atlantic General Hospital Foundation. He is also a member of the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees of Atlantic General Hospital, Franklin P. Perdue School of Business Career Advisory Board at Salisbury University, and the Investment Committee of the Community Foundation. Dean resides in Berlin with his wife Michelle and their three children.
Judge David Mitchell retired as an Associate Judge of Baltimore City Circuit Court. He was appointed to Maryland’s Eighth Judicial Circuit in 1984 and served until his retirement in 2001. David has served on the board of directors of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and The Peddie School. He has served as Chairman of the Committee on Constitution and Canons for the Episcopal Diocese of Easton. David resides in Hebron with his wife Diane. They have three children and five grandchildren.
