Help tackle critical community needs – become a Volunteer Maryland Coordinator at Wicomico Public Libraries! You will recruit and organize volunteers to meet critical needs in the community, such as providing homework help during afterschool and weekend hours; assist adult basic education through continued education programs, provide one-on-one assistance to adults and teens with job search efforts and provide general support for library activities. This is an 11 month, full-time (40 hours/week) position as a member of the Volunteer Maryland (VM) of AmeriCorps program serving at Wicomico Public Libraries. The service year begins September 23, 2015 and includes extensive training, a modest living allowance, and a post-service education award.
