Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Katie Jo Berna of Georgetown, Del., as an instructor of nursing.
Berna has been working in the medical field since 2000, with experience in medical-surgical nursing, community health, hospice care and staff development. She has also been a part-time nursing instructor at Delaware Technical Community College.
Berna received her associate degree from Delaware Tech, and her bachelor of science degree in nursing, master of health administration and master of science in nursing from the University of Phoenix.
She and her husband, Eric, have three daughters, Kylene, 14, Emma, 12, and Eva, 9.
