Bradford Receives Two Distinguished Community Awards

MAC Inc., Area Agency on Aging’s Executive Director Margaret “Peggy” Bradford, has been recognized for her leadership role by two organizations.
Bradford received The Daily Record’s 2014 Top 100 Women Award. She was selected by an outside panel of judges for her professional achievement, community leadership and mentoring. There were 370 nominations this year with two rounds of judging.  Bradford, who has been the Executive Director for the agency since 1979 stood out from the crowd. Honorees will be recognized on stage at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore on Monday, May 5, 2014.

The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore has also presented Bradford with the Jim Barrett Community Leadership Award during its annual meeting which was held on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  Bradford, who was among a host of community leaders and volunteers recognized in eight categories, has committed 35 years to the local Area Agency on Aging of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, which is supported by the United Way.
