Our Most Fun and Dirtiest Day at Camp!
WHAT:
Campers wait all year for it; parents load up on laundry detergent to prepare. It could be where the term “ground in dirt” was coined: Camp Odyssey’s Mud Madness Day – the messiest day of summer on Delmarva!
WHY:
Camp Odyssey, on the campus of Wicomico Day School, turns a wide swath of land into a giant mud pit for one day each summer. Why? Because they can! For the cleanup, a volunteer fire truck will second as a shower to hose the mud off.
WHEN & WHERE:
· Mud Madness will be held FRIDAY, JULY 25 from 1:00-3:00 for campers in camp this week and 2:45-4:00 p.m. for camp families and friends at Wicomico Day School (1315 Old Ocean City Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804.) This event is open to campers and their families only (although reporters are welcome to come as guests and take the plunge!)
· Mark your calendars for July 19th Camp Odyssey Night at The Shorebirds! We will have an on field parade, some good old fashioned, all American fun and fireworks! Buy a chance to win the first pitch! Stop by the Camp Odyssey Office for tickets.
· Mark your calendars for July 11thCamp Odyssey “I Love Camp Festival” at St. Francis de Sales! The final day of Camp at the St. Francis location. We celebrate all that summer camp has to offer as we have a carnival / festival atmosphere and cement the friendships and memories that have been made this summer!
