Salisbury, MD – The City of Salisbury is proud to announce the appointment of D’Shawn Doughty as the newest member of our esteemed City Council representing District 2. Doughty officially assumed his role as Councilman on October 2, bringing with him a wealth of experience, leadership, and a fervent commitment to community service.
Doughty is a native of the Eastern Shore, born and raised in Salisbury’s District 2. After studying Business Administration at Salisbury University, he had the opportunity to start his career in finance at Bank of America as a Loan Officer. Doughty is currently the Development Manager at Green Street Housing, a Salisbury-based affordable housing real estate developer.
Doughty immersed himself in the community, adding his expertise to numerous boards and commissions. Most notably, he is a Kindness Commissioner for the City of Salisbury, Executive Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore, 81st President of the Salisbury Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Vice-Chair of the Wicomico County Democratic Central Committee. Doughty merges his passion for community service and enthusiastic drive in each interaction.

organizational leadership, coupled with his financial acumen, positions him as a valuable asset to the City of Salisbury as we continue to grow and thrive.
