Free Event for the public!!!! Vendors will be on site with crafts, goods and food from the civil war period for your enjoyment! Bring a blanket, your family and enjoy the sights and sounds as we relive a part of our shared history.
THINGS TO DO AND SEE!!!
Soldiers from the Sons of Confederacy and Union, demonstrations of spinning, weaving and dyeing, and blacksmithing. Children’s games will be available as well as hands on activities with spinning and weaving Crocheted rugs and local authors of Civil War books will be on hand in addition to other vendors. Exhibitors will also be on site with Civil War weapons and medical equipment for your enjoyment.
If you missed the Civil War program in Allen play last year, copies of the DVD will be available to purchase. Proceeds from food sales will go toward the restoration of the Huffington/Pollitt house, future home of our museum.
