Horizons at The Salisbury School, a non-profit dedicated to the achievement of students from low-income homes in Wicomico County, is hosting the 9th Annual Dance & Arts Showcase on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 7pm in the Wicomico High School auditorium.
“We wanted to celebrate the incredible depth of talent here on the Lower Shore,” said Dr. Harlan Eagle, Executive Director of Salisbury Horizons, “and give our community an opportunity to participate in the work to educate and inspire our youth.”
The Dance and Arts Showcase will feature a wide array of local talent from across the Lower Shore including Feet of Fire, Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre, First Position Performance Troupe, Salisbury Dance Academy, Academy of Music Performance, Levelup Allstars, Prince Street Steppers, A & B Steppers, and the JMB RRR Soloists.
Proceeds will benefit Horizons at The Salisbury School, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide low-income youth with educational, mentoring and recreational programs to enhance critical thinking, goal-setting and teamwork as well as an opportunity to explore hidden talents and abilities. Horizons guides and supports students from kindergarten through grade twelve via a summer learning program, tutoring and mentoring during the school year.
Showcase tickets are $7 for children and $12 for adults and are available at participating schools, studios or at the door. For more information on the Horizons Dance & Arts Showcase, contact Show Director Susan Rogers at 410-742-4464 ext. 320.
