Stars, Soul, Rock and Roll Gala will feature food prepared by Mark Leslie Reeves, music performed by Quiet Fire, live and silent auctions, and dancing under the stars, on the scenic Wicomico River.
What: The Delmarva Discovery Center on the Pocomoke River, a living museum which focuses on the human history of the Delmarva region and the ecology of the Pocomoke River, announces its annual fundraising event, the Stars, Soul, Rock and Roll Gala. The event will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This year’s gala will be hosted by Mark and Leslie Reeves at their waterfront estate in Salisbury, MD. The Reeves are owners and operators of Back Street Grill in Salisbury, MD and Riverside Grill in Pocomoke City, MD.
The Stars, Soul, Rock and Roll Gala has become a premier social event on the Peninsula, with an anticipated draw of 300 guests this year. This year’s gala committee is chaired by Michael and Connie LeCompte. The evening will begin with music and buttered hors d’oeuvres, followed by a buffet dinner and dessert. Guests will enjoy superb local cuisine, exciting live auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences, distinctive travel excursions and exclusive specialty packages, silent auction, and dancing under the stars to the best of soul music performed by Quiet Fire, the hottest soul band in northern Virginia.

To attend the gala is $75 per person and tables of ten are $700. A portion of these amounts is tax deductible. Each attendee will receive one free premium liquor drink ticket.
