The Rotary Club of Salisbury is pleased to welcome to its Thursday, March 20 meeting Michael Kilian, Executive Editor of the Delmarva Media Group. Kilian, who has been in this role since March, oversees news in The Daily Times, on Delmarvanow.com and in eight weekly publications along the shore in three different states.
His presentation, “Rotary on Twitter,” will discuss the new opportunities this social media platform offers Rotary clubs to share their messages of Service Above Self, and also how to use Twitter as a recruitment tool for new members.
Kilian worked previously as Associate Editor for Gannett Company Inc’s Burlington Free Press in Vermont, where he oversaw a change in format in the newspaper and an expansion of digital news efforts. A native of Rochester, New York, Kilian is a graduate of Cornell University. He has held other newspaper positions in Troy, Saratoga Springs and Utica, New York.
