Downtown Trolley service returns for Fall Semester

56

The City of Salisbury, Shore Transit, and Salisbury University are proud to announce the return of service available to Salisbury University students and the community! Service will resume August 30th at 9 PM and will run throughout the SU Fall Semester. Starting its loop in front of the Salisbury University Academic Commons Building, the Downtown Trolley will shuttle passengers from the University to the Downtown Shops & Restaurants. The trolley will run Thursdays and Fridays from 9 PM to 2 AM and fare is free for students, faculty, and staff with SU ID and is only $1 otherwise. This exciting project was partially funded by a $50,000 grant from the Maryland Transit Administration and is part of the efforts to link Salisbury University students and the community with the businesses Downtown.

Stops along the route include Salisbury University Academic Commons, University Park, University Orchard, Evolution Craft Brewing, Salisbury’s Downtown Plaza, Brew River, South Boulevard/Hanson Street, and then the Trolley returns to Academic Commons. On 3rd Fridays, Trolley service starts even earlier at 5 PM to connect the community with the fun outdoor events held in Downtown Salisbury.

Service runs while SU is in session and updates are posted on the Downtown Salisbury Trolley website and Facebook page. For further information or to see a map of the route, please visit www.DowntownSBYTrolley.com or contact info@downtownsbytrolley.com
