He completed an internal medicine residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, and then completed a second internal medicine residency and cardiovascular research fellowship at UMDNJ University Hospital, New Jersey Medical School in Newark, N.J. He completed a second cardiovascular research fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, a clinical cardiology fellowship at The Episcopal Heart Institute in Philadelphia, Pa., and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia Health Science Center in Charlottesville, Va.
