Educational Center Ribbon Cutting At Wicomico Library

On Tuesday (10/28) at 3:30 pm, Wicomico Public Library, in partnership with Wor-Wic Community College, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Educational Center located in the Downtown Library.

The new Educational Center consists of classroom and computer lab space for use for various trainings and workshops including Wor-Wic Community College’s Adult Education classes, resume & job search workshops, computer & coding workshops, ESL classes, technology & software classes amongst others.

Funding for this project has been provided by Wicomico County and by the Gladys Martha Allen Fund for Education at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

This venture is a new way for the library to provide services which are core to its mission.  According to Executive Director Andrea Berstler “Wicomico Public Library supports education in all forms.  We are pleased to work with other educational organizations such as Wor-Wic to bring learning opportunities to Downtown Salisbury.”
