Eric Morgan Promoted to Senior Vice President, Piedmont Ground Handling
SALISBURY, Maryland – Piedmont Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Airlines Group Inc., this week announced that Eric Morgan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Piedmont Ground Handling (PGH). Morgan will continue to lead the more than 5,500 customer service employees who make up the PGH team across the United States.
“Eric has done a phenomenal job leading and growing our customer service team through every challenge and every opportunity,” said Lyle Hogg, Piedmont CEO. “He demonstrates that leaders can be caring and compassionate and still demand excellence from those around them.”
Morgan began his airline career as a part time customer service agent at Greenbrier Valley Airport in West Virginia working for the original Piedmont Airlines. He has served as manager and director for Piedmont’s customer service group, and as vice president since 1999. During his tenure, Morgan has expanded the scope of Piedmont customer service to include work in more than 70 airports across the United States, including three American Airlines hubs – Philadelphia, Phoenix and Charlotte, N.C. Morgan and his team were instrumental in the US Airways – American Airlines integration process, and in the successful American reservation migration in 2015.
