FREE CONCERT AT RIVERWALK AMPHITHEATER AFTER SEA GULL CENTURY
Salisbury, MD: The City of Salisbury and the Salisbury Arts and Entertainment District is pleased to announce a free concert to be hosted at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. The concert will feature The Larks – a local funk, jazz and fusion band sure to please the masses. The concert will be free, and open to the public, with beer, wine and water available for purchase outside. Bring your own lawn chair, sit on the amphitheater steps or dance the night away.
Planned to coincide with Salisbury University’s Sea Gull Century bike ride, the event will be held after most of the on-campus activities have ended. “The idea is to make sure that visitors to Salisbury, and locals alike, can find a fun way to spend their evening while they are in town” says Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District Executive Director Jamie Heater. According to Sea Gull Century organizers, the event brings in over 6,000 riders – 20% of whom choose to stay in the Salisbury area the night after the ride.
There will be beer and wine available for sale outside, and food trucks on site with both savory and sweet options. There will be a complimentary bike valet available for those who choose to ride their bikes to the Amphitheater. Free Parking is available across the river in the City of Salisbury Parking Garage or Municipal Lot 16. The concert is free to attend, and open to all ages.
This concert is a brought to you by the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, a 501c-3 organization committed to promoting the arts and economic development in Downtown Salisbury. For more information please visit www.SalisburyArtsDistrict.com.
