Free Swing Dance Concert at Riverwalk Amphitheater

Salisbury, MD:  Salisbury Arts and Entertainment District is pleased to announce a free swing dance concert with the Neon Swing X-Perience to be hosted at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.  The concert will be free, and open to the public, with beer, wine and water available for purchase outside.  Bring your own lawn chair, sit on the amphitheater steps or dance the night away! 

Neon Swing X-Perience is a seven-piece swing band from Pittsburg, PA that has been devoted to updating ad preserving vintage American genre’s such as swing, rockabilly, hot jazz, horn rock, and blues.  Described as “swing with a sting” Neon Swing X-Perience is a raucous modernization of multiple influences all rooted in the big bands on the 1930’s and 1940’s.  With big band sound, and energy to spare – Neon Swing X-Perience is sure to get everyone on their feet dancing.

There will even be a free dance lesson before the show, hosted by Pam Wood of Ballroom Made Simple.  Dancers can brush up on common pairs dance steps, and get tips from dance experts. The dance lesson starts at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.  “These guys are so fun.  If you like to dance, you really should come out, you’ll have a great time” says concert host Michael Day. Free Parking is available across the river in the City of Salisbury Parking Garage, or Municipal Lot 16.
