Greene Turtle Fundraiser to Benefit Treat Street

Treat Street
The Salisbury Jaycees invite community members to have some good food for a good cause as The Greene Turtle hosts a Funds For Friends fundraiser for the chapter’s Treat Street safe trick-or-treating initiative Tuesday, October 7.
The Greene Turtle will donate a portion of the day’s proceeds to the Jaycees for the annual Halloween event for every customer bringing in a flyer (available atthis link) or mentioning Treat Street or the Jaycees when they place their order.
Now in its seventh year, Treat Street provides a safe place for area children to trick-or-treat on Halloween night. This year’s event is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Friday, October 31, on Salisbury’s Downtown Plaza (rain location: Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Business Center, 144 E. Main St.).
The free event, for children ages 11 and under, includes candy tables, games, prizes, giveaways, local mascots, photo opportunities, story time and more.
The Jaycees are still accepting individual table sponsorships for the event at $50 each and area sponsorships at $250 each. The chapter provides candy and, upon request, volunteers for each table. Sponsors receive event signage, recognition on the event map and flyers, and the opportunity to hand out promotional items.
