Heater Recieves Downtown Salisbury Positive Impact Award

Downtown

The City of Salisbury and Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business recently presented 3rd Friday coordinator Jamie Heater with the inaugural Downtown Salisbury Positive Impact Award.

“We could point to events, structures or even businesses to symbolize our continued revitalizations,” said Mayor Jim Ireton. “Yet, it has always been people who have led these areas to success.

“In summarizing all that has happened in downtown Salisbury over the past five years, we can point to one person in particular, and that is Jamie Heater. I am proud to know her and am exceptionally lucky that I get to work with her in the 3rd Friday effort.”

Heater received the award following two weeks of online voting overseen by students in Paula Morris’ Advertising and Promotions class. The accolade honored her not only for her 3rdFriday role, but for her involvement in the Salisbury New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District Committee.
