Hudson Behavioral Health Hosts Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate Opening of New Enrichment Center

Salisbury Chamber ribbon cutting event for Hudson Behavioral Health

Salisbury, MD – The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and its members were delighted to join Hudson Behavioral Health in the ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the new Enrichment Center building, which will provide space for staff and community trainings and events.

“As we continue to expand our addiction treatment service offerings to meet the needs of our community, we’ve also expanded our staff trainings to educate them on new policies and procedures,” said Leslie Brown, CEO of Hudson Health. “The new Enrichment Center provides the perfect space to host group trainings in addition to staff support events like yoga.”

The Enrichment Center, which was previously the home of the Knights of Columbus in Salisbury, is located next door to the Hudson administrative offices and a short walk away from the residential campus. The building features a large open concept gathering space with a fireplace and a well-appointed kitchen in addition to a separate room for smaller group trainings and exercise classes.

“This space really is multipurpose. Patients are already benefiting from weekly yoga and drumming classes here, and beginning this spring we’ll be offering cooking classes to patients living in our level 3.1 treatment homes,” said Brown. “Teaching life skills has always been an important part of preparing our patients for independent living, and the new Enrichment Center gives us the space to take that to the next level. Our Dietitian Supervisor will teach patients about nutrition, how to prepare healthy meals, and how to budget and grocery shop.”

The opening of this facility adds to the Hudson footprint in the Salisbury community. In addition to their inpatient facility, Hudson also has six treatment houses in Salisbury and plans to open an outpatient center in 2024 to provide the full spectrum of addiction treatment services.
