Delmarva Veteran Builders, the region’s only commercial construction firm dedicated to bringing employment to U.S. Armed Forces Veterans, announced the addition of Jacob Meadows to the DVB team.
“We have worked with Jake on multiple occasions and knew when the opportunity presented itself, he would make a great fit to the DVB team,” said Chris Eccleston, Delmarva Veteran Builders. “He saw growth in DVB and wanted to be a part of it. We offered him a chance to use his commercial experience and become rooted in a company that he can grow in and with.”
Meadows served in the Marine Corp between 1996 and 2000 and finished as a Sgt., 3rd BN, 2nd MAR DIV (Marine Division). He deployed to Bosnia and Haiti in between the Gulf Wars and served in the Infantry. In 2000, after serving, Meadows became a carpenters apprentice and did custom mill work, cabinetry and worked on the construction of built-ins. In 2003, he became food and beverage director for Great Oak Landing Resort for 5 years. During this time he worked on capital improvements and a retrofit of a hotel which included the renovation of the banquet space. Meadows also worked on the restoration of two commercial kitchens and bars.

Jacob lives in Willards with his wife, three daughters and a son on the way.
“When I met Chris, Lee and Daniel I was impressed,” said Meadows. “They were prompt and easy to work with. I think the military background allows us to understand each other when we have a message to convey. They carry with them a degree of professionalism and integrity that I was keen to. They are a GC that holds up their end with integrity. They do what they say they are going to do – plain and simple.”
