For the fourteenth year, Women Supporting Women, regional breast cancer organization, will host their “Walk for Awareness” at Winterplace Park on Saturday, October 10th. We are excited to announce that this year Jenni Pastusak has been chosen to Chair this event.
Jenni Pastusak worked in the television news business for more than seven years, beginning in NYC at Fox News Channel and more recently working with local station, WBOC. She then entered the world of public relations and marketing in 2006 and was hired as an account executive by a.s.a.p.r. integrated marketing where she worked on different projects for a variety of clients. In 2009, Jenni formed her own firm; SURE Public Relations & Marketing. Current and past clients include Apple Discount Drugs, Sharp Energy, Camp Odyssey @ The Salisbury School, Salisbury Horizons, Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Eternal Reefs and EASY Software, Gillis Gilkerson, Devreco, Delmarva Veteran Builders, Fisher Architecture and Coastal Association of REALTORS.
Jenni will bring her expertise in organizing the breast cancer walk which is a family and dog-friendly event to benefit Women Supporting Women. All proceeds from the 2015 Walk for Awareness benefits WSW’s programs that increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection and provide support and resources to men and women in our local community who are newly diagnosed or facing recurrence of breast cancer. Women Supporting Women is the only local resource providing free hats, wigs, scarves, bras and prosthesis for anyone going through breast cancer and chemotherapy.
