Salisbury, MD— Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) welcomes 18 new members to their Executive and County Boards. Most members were previous board members, but have been given new roles for the upcoming fiscal year.
Of the 18, 8 of the members have been elected to Executive positions:
- Daniel Mills, Executive, and Wicomico County Board Chair, Delmarva Veteran Builders
- Mike Dunn, Executive, and Wicomico County Board Vice-Chair, Greater Salisbury Committee
- Beth Bell, Executive Board Treasurer, Becker Morgan Group
- Chrissy Maddy, Worcester County Board Chair, BB&T now Truist
- Joe Wilson, Worcester County Board Vice-Chair, Coastal Life Realty Group
- Matt Auchey, Executive and Wicomico County Board Past Chair, Green Street Housing
- Ryan Kirby, Worcester County Board Past Chair, Snowden Lane Partners
- Greg Whitten, Dorchester County Board Chair, Whitten Retirement Solutions
- Tracy Tyler, Dorchester County Board Past Chair, TiLT Business Advisors
- Bill Christopher, Dorchester County Board Vice-Chair, Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce
“We’re extremely excited to welcome our new board members”, said JAES President, Jayme Hayes. “Our board members are a huge component of our progress and success as an organization. We have already been meeting with each of our boards, developing plans for the upcoming school year. With most of our counties learning virtually this year, we have been busier than ever rising to the occasion of taking our programming virtual as well. It’s our goal to ensure that our students will still receive the core knowledge they need, like savings, home, and business ownership, resume building, etc. These skills are vital to the survival and success of our communities. I think the pandemic has been an eye-opening experience for everyone. It has shown us the importance of being financially prepared, having transferable job skills, and being knowledgeable in loans and business ownership.”
Hayes went on to say, “Our staff is excited to partner with some of the top business and industry leaders in our community. Our board members are eager and passionate about serving the youth and breaking the cycle of generational poverty in our communities. We’re here, and we’re ready to change the game, one student at a time.”

Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating youth, grades K-12 both public and private, on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. Our hands-on, age-appropriate programs inspire youth to live within their means, prepare for the world of work, and understand the free enterprise system. Our programs are brought to life by local business members from the community.
