Salisbury, MD — The American Lung Association identifies lung cancer as the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. In fact, it claims more lives annually than colon, breast and prostate cancer combined. If you are currently smoking or have a history of smoking, your risk of lung cancer increases significantly. CT scanning can detect small nodules, a possible indicator of lung cancer, which a traditional chest x-ray might not see.
