The Parsonsburg Fire Company Cadets are excited to announce their upcoming virtual popcorn fundraiser, aimed at raising funds to enhance the training opportunities for our dedicated cadets. The funds raised from this event will be utilized to purchase essential equipment such as helmet shields, gear, and other training items necessary to further enrich our cadets’ knowledge and skills in the fire service and EMS service. We are proud to declare that 50% of each purchase made during this fundraiser will directly benefit our exceptional cadets.
“Our Junior Cadet Program is a valuable tool for our community and county,” said [MARK OR SHANNON PERDUE], Cadet Leader. “Our cadet program serves as a recruitment mechanism, allowing youth the opportunity to gain technical skills that they can apply toward a future career or as a volunteer in the fire and emergency services field. Our junior firefighters can also help with important fire safety and prevention outreach, department fundraising, and chores around the station. And no matter where they go after graduation, they become citizens who are better prepared for fire and emergencies and are equipped with life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and responsibility.”
However, like all the tools in the fire department’s toolbox, our cadet program requires financial support. The funds raised through this virtual fundraiser will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our cadets receive the necessary resources to develop their skills and make a positive impact in our community.
