SALISBURY, MD—Salisbury University’s Patricia White Wroten Piano Concert Series continues with pianist and composer André Mehmari 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.
Recognized as an artistic leader in his native Brazil, he has earned prizes in Brazilian popular and classical music. With a focus on composing and interpreting Brazilian, jazz and classical works, his diverse repertoire includes Chopin, Scott Joplin and Ernesto Nazareth, among others.
Admission is free and the public is invited. His performance is sponsored by SU’s Cultural Affairs Office; World Artists Experiences, Inc.; and the Embassy of Brazil.
