Lower Eastern Shore, Md. – The Coastal Association of REALTORS® (Coastal) is pleased to announce that it has awarded $6,000 in grants to local charities through the Coastal REALTORS® Foundation.
The following organizations received grants in the Coastal REALTORS® Foundation’s latest round of funding:
• Chesapeake Housing Mission
• Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County
• Help and Outreach Point of Entry (HOPE)
• Humane Society of Wicomico County
• Humane Society of Worcester County
• Ocean City Power Squadron
• Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Services
• Worcester Goes Purple/Worcester County Warriors Against Opioid Addiction
The Coastal REALTORS® Foundation is a charitable fund held by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore. The association raises money for the fund through an annual charity golf tournament as well as other efforts throughout the year. The fund is accessible to members of Coastal through an application process administered by the association and reviewed by a committee of members. Grant recipients must be 501(c)3 organizations and must be located in Somerset, Wicomico, or Worcester counties.
“We’ve just wrapped up our first year of awarding grants to local charities through the Foundation, and it’s been a great experience for the association and its members,” said Coastal President Joe Wilson. “We look forward to continuing to support the causes important to our members in the new year.”
Applications are accepted quarterly, and the next deadline is February 15, 2020.
