Whether you’re looking to run, walk, grill out, play ball, volley, or shoot hoops – WinterPlace Park has it all. Spread over 377 acres and located just off of Route 50 across from Perdue Stadium, WinterPlace Park plays host to several activities and is the perfect location to create lasting memories. It is a great spot for sports and recreation, offering a walking and cross country trail, pavilion, permanent restroom facilities and playground area. The park property also boasts softball as well as soccer/lacrosse fields, tennis and volleyball courts.

Because of its size and convenient location, WinterPlace Park’s popularity has continued to grow since it was developed in 1994. Today the park is used by many throughout the County as well as visitors to the area for youth sports tournaments, collegiate cross country meets, fundraiser 5K walk/runs, family reunions, birthday parties and picnics serving well over 10,000 guests. WinterPlace is also home to a few of the County’s large-scale events. The Pork in The Park BBQ Festival has called the park home for the last 11 years, bringing together 15,000 to 25,000 guests during the spring.

In the fall, Delmarva Bike Week welcomes thousands of motorcyclists to the shore and has called WinterPlace Park home for the past 14 years. The 2014 event is slated for September 11-14. Festivities will take place at WinterPlace Park as well as Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and Ocean City. The park is transformed into a biker’s paradise for the event, offering live entertainment, food, drink and vendors. For a complete schedule, visit www.delmarvabikeweek.com.

As summer winds down, I encourage you to explore WinterPlace Park and all of its offerings. Whether you want to mark your calendars for Delmarva Bike Week or plan a weekend family outing, WinterPlace Park is waiting to welcome you.
