Kids can learn basketball essentials while having fun this summer during Wicomico County Recreation & Parks’ new FUNdamental Hoops summer camp.
The five-day camp is for boys and girls ages 7-12, and registration is open now.
FUNdamental Hoops will be held from June 19-23 and July 17-21 from 9 a.m.-noon at Salisbury Middle School. The camp will be led by Brian McDermott, founder of Delmarva Defenders Youth Basketball.
Children of all skill levels will be taught the basic techniques of shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defense. There will be an emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and fun.
The program fee is $125 per week, including a camp T-shirt and extra goodies. For the first week, the registration deadline is June 16, and for the second week, the registration deadline is July 14. On-site registration may be available depending on space.
