Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF), is pleased to announce that their associate, Daniel S. Ridgely, AIA, was recently appointed by Governor Jack Markell to the Delaware State Board of Architects (DSBA). Ridgely’s three-year term officially began with his appointment on May 13, 2016.
“DBF is proud to have Dan represent the profession of architecture with his appointment to the DSBA,” shared DBF principal Michael Wheedleton.
As a member of the DSBA, Ridgely will serve with eight others – four registered architects and four members of the general public – to help ensure that the Board’s objectives are met. The nine DSBA members will meet monthly to execute the primary task of protecting the residents of Delaware from unsafe business practices within the professional architecture field. Additionally, they will serve to maintain professional competency standards, ensure that rules and regulations are followed, arbitrate when formal complaints have been filed, issue disciplinary rulings when necessary, verify continuing education compliance, and hear appeals within the State of Delaware.
“Through this appointment, I hope to contribute to and uphold the integrity of the professional practice of architecture in the State of Delaware,” said Ridgely. “I am greatly honored to be appointed by Governor Markell to the Delaware State Board of Architects.”
