The Rotary Club of Salisbury, in its 104th year of service to our community, has recognized two members as the club’s Rotarian of the Year. The selections were made by club president Ford Waggoner based upon their many contributions to the club’s success during his 12 months of leadership.

Gus Lebois, a retired Perdue Farms executive, and Stacey McMichael, executive director of the Richard A. Henson Foundation, were chosen from the more than 80 club members.

Mr. Lebois was a leader of the club’s 3-Point Initiative that raises money that is contributed to local organizations to help youngsters become better students and community members. Additionally, he was active in the club’s work to renovate the Christian Shelter, has served on the club’s Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of the Rotary Club of Salisbury Foundation, Inc., as well as other club service projects.

Mrs. McMichael, a member of the club’s Board of Directors, chaired the scholarship committee that awarded scholarships to local high school students. She served on the 3-Point Initiative Committee and was involved in many other club service projects.

The Rotary Club of Salisbury, a member organization whose product is service, welcomes new members interested in fellowship, fun, and helping their community.
