Salisbury Christian School is pleased to announce Dr. Robert Burris as our next Headmaster. He will begin June 1, 2014.
Dr. Burris comes to us from Marietta, Georgia, with 20 years of experience in Christian education. His prior academic positions have included middle school teacher, guidance counselor, dean of students, principal, and headmaster. He also has been involved with a variety of ministries through the years, serving as youth pastor, associate pastor and worship leader.
In 2008, Dr. Burris earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. A member of the American Association of School Administrators and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Dr. Burris has served on ACSI’s President’s Task Force for Professional Development. He also co-founded the Central Florida Consortium of Private School Counselors, an organization to address issues pertinent to independent school educators and students and currently serves as president of the Atlanta Christian School Association.
