SALISBURY, MD—The Salisbury and University chorales open Salisbury University’s Winter Music Festival with the concert “Chorales Tour Italy” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 23, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.
The show previews American music selections for their performance tour of Italy, scheduled for March 2020.
Directed by Dr. William Folger of the Music, Theatre and Dance Department, the concert features mostly a capella presentations of American folk, jazz and spirituals, including “The Battle of Jericho,” “Shenandoah,” and “A Welsh Lullaby.”
Admission is $10, $7 for seniors 62+, SU alumni, faculty and staff, $5 for non-SU students, $3 for SU students with Gull Card. Children 12 and under are free.
