Shore Grace Family Wellness is a new family wellness center located in Salisbury, MD. They specialize in helping families transition into their lives with their new babies. They offer many different services to meet the needs of growing families such as Doula services, free parenting classes, childbirth education, free support groups, mental health services, children’s movement classes and more. It is their mission to provide hope, healing, health to families of the Eastern Shore.
In partnership with the Wicomico Partnerships for Families and Children, Shore Grace is offering a free parenting class for families and individuals in the community. Active Parenting: The First Five Years is a program that specializes in building a strong foundation for children from birth to age 5. Learn how to make the most of your child’s early years with Active Parenting: First Five Years, a program for parents and other caregivers. This course will show you how to nurture your child with a “just right” combination of freedom and nonviolent discipline.
Upon completing this course, you will be able to:
- Know what your baby’s cry means
- Identify ages and stages of development
- Build a strong bond
- Know how to protect your mental health
- Use mindfulness to keep your cool
- Effectively discipline in ways that young children can understand
- Prepare your child for school success and much more!
