Salisbury University celebrates its annual Spring Commencement with a Grad Walk Friday-Saturday, May 20-21, at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.
A portion of Glen Avenue will be closed to traffic 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 21 to accommodate pedestrians from the Civic Center’s overflow parking area.
During this walk-through event, professional photographers will take formal photos as graduates have their names read while crossing the Commencement stage and receiving their SU diploma covers.
The Grad Walk will be livestreamed on the SU website for family and friends who are unable to attend in person. Streaming information will be posted closer to the event at www.salisbury.edu/commencement. Students are invited to participate at specific times based on academic school or program, joined by faculty and administrators.
In addition, graduates will be celebrated in a video premiering May 20 on the University’s Commencement webpage, YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/salisburyuniversity) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/salisburyu).
Graduates and their families are encouraged to visit festive Celebration Zone photo spots on campus prior to or following their Grad Walk experiences. Campus community members, family and friends also may submit their well wishes on the SU Class of 2022 Kudoboard (www.kudoboard.com/boards/salisbury-university-graduation-2022), which will feature messages throughout May.
Among undergraduates, 1,193 students receive the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts. Some 258 graduate students receive master’s degrees. Fourteen receive doctoral degrees.
Admission is by ticket only. For more information visit the SU Commencement webpage at www.salisbury.edu/commencement.
