SALISBURY, MD—Salisbury University’s Bobbi Biron Theatre Program presents the Tony Award-winning play Peter and the Starcatcher Thursday-Sunday, April 4-7 and 11-14, in the Black Box Theatre of Fulton Hall.
Directed and choreographed by Dr. Matt Saltzberg, curtain is 8 p.m., 2 p.m. Sundays.
Rick Elice’s theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s bestselling novel, with music by Wayne Barker, tells the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be “The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up” (AKA Peter Pan). From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, the production explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bounds of friendship, duty and love.
The cast includes Brett Stiles as Boy, Alli Payne as Smee, Joe Groth as Black Stache, Chris Jarrett as Prentiss, Kate Carpenter as Molly and Eric McCladdie as Ted. Additional cast members are Mike DeVito, Dan Frana, Kimberly Lapidario, Imari Pyles, Jake Smith and Jake Thereault.
Guest artist Chelsea Pace is fight choreographer. Costume design is by Leslie Yarmo and Megan Murphy. Set and lighting design are by John Raley. Music direction is by Veronica Tomanek. Bay Kirk and Katie Hopwood stage manage.
