Salisbury, MD – TidalHealth is pleased to announce that Maureen Hands, RRT, night shift Senior Respiratory Therapist Supervisor at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, is its Tree of Life Award recipient for February 2024.
This award honors respiratory therapists who provide outstanding, excellent care to patients, make a special connection, and are engaged with the care team to ensure the best outcomes for their patients.
Hands always comes to work with a positive attitude ready for whatever the night has to bring. She is always ready to jump in and get things done. She helps wherever it is needed and is the last therapist to sit down even after all of her work is done. Her coworkers describe her as compassionate, dedicated, dependable, nurturing and “there in a pinch.”
Like a strong and steadfast tree, Hands has grown her roots deep at TidalHealth during her eight years of service, making countless friends along the way. She has branched out into each role as a floor, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), Labor and Delivery and charge therapist as well as recently taking on the role of senior therapist. Like a tree’s branches and leaves, she has supported and taught many therapists along the way and nurtured countless patients back to health.
