Salisbury, MD – Advisor Shelby G. Tomlinson of NAI Coastal along with Principal and Broker Chris Davis proudly announce the successful sale of 733 S Salisbury Boulevard, the historic home of Kitty’s Flowers, a beloved florist shop established in Salisbury, Maryland, in 1950. Tomlinson and Davis represented the sellers in this notable transaction, which marks the latest achievement in a series of successful deals that Tomlinson has facilitated for Kitty’s Flowers over the past few years.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Ross Bradford of Kitty’s Flowers shared:
“Shelby has been instrumental in helping us achieve our business growth and goals over the last few years. Her dedication to ensuring that every move we made was well thought out gave us the confidence we needed, knowing she always had our back, no matter what happened.”
In 2022, Kitty’s Flowers realized that their production needs had outgrown their Salisbury location, requiring a larger space to meet the demands of their growing multi-location business. Tomlinson was pivotal in securing a +/- 12,000 square-foot warehouse to support their production, which now serves their four retail locations.
Following the successful relocation of their production facility, Kitty’s Flowers was ready to sell their long-standing retail space at 733 S Salisbury Boulevard and downsize to a smaller storefront. Tomlinson and Davis worked collaboratively to represent Kitty’s Flowers in the sale of the 4,400 square-foot retail location, situated prominently on the bustling South Salisbury Boulevard.
Bradford further commented:
“We are thrilled with our experience working with Shelby and Principal Chris Davis from NAI Coastal. Together, Shelby and Chris’s commitment to our success was unwavering, and their efforts ensured that each step we took aligned perfectly with our business goals.”
The final piece of the puzzle was finding a new, strategically located storefront for Kitty’s Flowers in Salisbury. Understanding the importance of visibility and accessibility for the florist’s loyal clientele, Tomlinson secured an off-market retail space of +/- 1,100 square feet at 327 Tilghman Road. The new location, situated within a thriving shopping center just off US Route 50, aligns perfectly with Kitty’s Flowers’ commitment to quality and customer convenience. Kitty’s Flowers plans to have the new location ready to operate by December 1, 2024. Tomlinson worked with Chris Messick of SVN-Miller, who represented the landlord, to finalize the deal.
Reflecting on the series of transactions, Shelby G. Tomlinson stated:
“Having the opportunity to work with a well-established, longstanding business like Kitty’s Flowers in not just one, but multiple deals, is both humbling and the ultimate testament to my work. I love what I do—I love helping businesses achieve their goals—and having a client like Kitty’s Flowers trust me time and time again is an incredible honor and a massive compliment to the effort and dedication I put into my clients’ success.”
This latest transaction solidifies Tomlinson’s role as a trusted advisor to Kitty’s Flowers and highlights her commitment to supporting local businesses as they grow and evolve.
