Looking to dine on a gourmet meal while enjoying a lively show?  Then be sure to get a ticket, on sale March 3, to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s 2014 Dinner Theatre production “Motown N Mo,’ Take 3.”

Players from the university’s drama society take to the stage for an 8 p.m. curtain time in the Richard A. Henson Center following dinner seating beginning at 6 p.m.

Written by Dr. Della Dameron-Johnson, the society’s director, the play is a “continuation of the history of Motown through dialogue, song and dance.”  It follows “Motown N Mo’” and “Motown N Much Mo’,” original plays previously performed by the group.  The audience can expect favorites inspired by the likes of the Supremes, The Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips and Stevie Wonder.  “Of course, we couldn’t talk about that era without including Tina Marie and Rick James,” she said.

Before the start of the show, students and faculty in the school’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program (formerly Hotel and Restaurant Management) will present a gourmet buffet complete with hors d’oeuvres, dinner items and carving stations.  A dessert buffet “to die for” is presented between acts.

Marlon Bouie, a UMES senior from Baltimore, will be among the experienced hospitality students overseeing things as managers working behind the scenes in the hot and cold kitchens, the bake shop and stewarding.

Bouie, who will serve in the top spot as production manager, will also be assisting Chef Ralston Whittingham with the menu selection and food ordering.  Students interested in the management positions signed up and were voted on by their peers.

Bouie spent the 2013 semester as an intern with Walt Disney World resorts as a food and beverage operations cast member.

Tickets are $45 for Friday night and $50 for Saturday night.  Call 410-651-6230 for tickets or for more information.
