Amie Young, C.P.A. joined United Needs and Abilities, Inc. (UNA) in July 2014 as their new Controller. Previously she was the CFO at the Ann Storck Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL and has more than 9 years of experience in Accounting. CEO Mike Dyer stated, “We are thrilled to have Amie’s level of experience to support our mission here at UNA.”
Amie (pictured above) earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and her Masters in Accounting & Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. Amie was involved with the American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants and served as the South Florida Affiliate President the year prior to moving to the Eastern Shore.
United Needs & Abilities is a nonprofit organization, 501 (C)(3), that enriches the lives of people with developmental disabilities by maximizing their opportunities to live in the community independently and productively. United Needs & Abilities assists individuals with developmental disabilities to become more self-sufficient and integrated into the community, by providing them financial, residential, recreational, vocational and educational services.
