United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore is pleased to announce the addition of two team members, completing their team of eight employees supporting local programs and services for non-profit agencies throughout Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Dorchester counties. Chelsea Micka, Donor Relations Coordinator, and Victoria Miele, Outreach and Communications Manager, joined the United Way team in early August.
Micka, originally from Cherry Hill, NJ, graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mass Communications and Public Relations. Serving internships with both the Arthritis Foundation, as well as R&R Events, a Baltimore-based event production company, she went on to work for Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, working closely with University Advancement and Alumni Relations in managing university-wide events. Micka will provide the United Way with much needed donor relations, campaign and event support.
A Salisbury University alumna, Miele holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration, and a Master’s in Business Administration. She brings the United Way ten years of marketing experience from her previous positions in the for-profit sector. Her responsibilities include building awareness of United Way programs, community outreach, and donor relations support. Miele has been an Eastern Shore resident for 15 years, and currently lives in Salisbury with her husband and two children.
