
On Thursday, May 1, SACC members and local law enforcement leaders joined USTASC’s CEO, Evan Avnet, and his staff for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating their new facility in Salisbury, MD.
Avnet, who currently serves as President of the Maryland Investigators & Security Association (MISA), shared “We would like to thank everyone in attendance, especially the chamber, our Vice President Tiffany Schooley, who put in a lot of work to make this a success, our staff, Sheriff Mike Lewis and his staff, my friend Ret. Chief Hal Saylor, the Chief of Princess Anne PD and his staff, the mayor of Delmar, as well as other local law enforcement and business leaders! We hope everyone has a great time. MDSPOSA, a branch of USTASC, is a premier training provider dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge required to excel as Maryland Special Police and Security Officers. Offering certified courses that meet Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission (MPCTC) standards, MDSPOSA delivers comprehensive online training, including the 80-hour initial Special Police course, 12-hour renewals, and 12-hour security guard certification, all taught by seasoned instructors with law enforcement and security backgrounds.
