The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University, presents Drop-In Art Saturdays, a monthly family art program. Drop-In Art is held on the third Saturday of each month between 10 a.m. and noon. Join museum educators as they help families create projects related to the museum’s collections and exhibits. Return each month for a new project and theme!
January 16 – Join the Ward Museum and local artist Lindsay Schoen for an exciting lesson on Upcycling at this month’s Drop In Art. Participants will be shown how to put old magazines to new uses by creating beautiful jewelry, bowls, coasters and wall art. This is sure to be a fun project for those of all ages, and a great way to repurpose those dated old magazines! Lindsay Schoen is a junior Fine Arts major at Salisbury University. Previously the Creative Arts director for a YMCA summer camp, she enjoys teaching art projects to others in a fun and creative environment, and often uses recycled materials in her crafts. Bring magazines of your own too!
There is no fee for the Drop-In Art program, thanks to support by the Susan K Black Foundation. Regular museum admission charges apply for entrance to the galleries. For more information call 410-742-4988 Ext. 110 or email wardeducation@salisbury.edu.
