Wor-Wic Community College recently welcomed Jon C. Waxham of Millsboro, Del., as department head and associate professor of the new physical therapist assistant program.
Due to the generous contributions of donors to the college’s “Providing for Today While Ensuring Tomorrow” campaign, Waxham will be creating the new program, including developing the curriculum and preparing the proposal to obtain approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the application for national accreditation.
Prior to coming to Wor-Wic, he was co-owner and a physical therapist at Maximum Performance Physical Therapy in Laurel, Md.
Waxham is a licensed physical therapist in Maryland and Delaware and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has more 15 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist and has served as a clinical instructor for physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students.
