West Wicomico Heritage Day is coming up this month, offering fun activities for the whole family.

The Wicomico Recreation, Parks & Tourism event, set for Sept. 23, features the 22nd annual West Wicomico Heritage Bike Tour, the Historians Scavenger Hunt and other activities at Pemberton Historical Park.

Participants in the bike tour, which takes off from Pemberton Historical Park, can choose from 32-, 50-, and 62-mile routes that wind through western Wicomico County. The event lasts from 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m., with show and go from 7-8:30 a.m.

Registration is open now. Registration fees are $40 for adults, $25 for children ages 8-18 and free for children 7 and under (no shirt included).

Participants must wear helmets, and they will each receive a map and cue sheet. Rest areas will also be available, along with SAG, or Support and Gear, service.

For $5 per group of up to five, people can participate in the following activities: the Historians Scavenger Hunt, colonial games and crafts, and Pemberton Hall tours.
